Waterbed Treatment

So you own a waterbed or areconsidering purchasing one and it suddenly occurred to you that itmay be more complicated than you thought. What on earth did thesalesman mean "you get a complimentary set of waterbedtreatment with this model", what are all these extras in thewaterbed stores and do i need them? Well when it comes to waterbedtreatment if you've got any sense you are going to get some.

It doesn't matter whether you've got asoftside or hardside waterbed, whether the bladder is waveless orfree flow, your definetly going to need a waterbed treatment solutioneven if your bed is new.

You see the problem is that yourwaterbed is indeed filled with water and the upshot of that is thatthe water in the mattress contains microbes that over time will breedand mulitply and slowly make the inner of your waterbed mattressmoldy and quite frankly stinky. There is no avoidance, even thecleanest looking water naturally contains these microbes. If youdrink the local water they have no affect on you as your body is usedto it. If you drink the water in a different country your bodyreacts...it is not used to these different microbes. You get thepicture, there are a background level of microbes in water generallyand when it comes to your waterbed this can slowly be a problem.

These microbes form mould on your innervinyl walls of the waterbed bladder and with time will begin to causethe vinyl to deteriorate so to get around this problem and extend thelife of your mattress you should treat your waterbed with a waterbed treatment. These solutions are often called waterbed conditionertreatment because they condition the water and vinyl inner of yourbeds bladder.

Waterbed treatment usually onlyrequires an annual application so they are relatively easy to do. Youjust dose the bladder through the water filling aperture to thecorrect manufacturers dose taking into account whether the mattresshas been regularily treated or not. (If it hasn't you may need alarge dose than normal). Luckily these treatments are usually only afew dollars so it shouldn't break the bank or put you off buying awaterbed. Also the treatments are quite light weight (6oz) so takingdelivery through the post is easy and inexpensive which means ou canalways buy your waterbed treatment the internet, shop around see howcheap you can get it, if you are spending over $10 a year there aresavings to be had.
